After graduating from the Siebel Institute, Tim Daley and Todd Sullivan began their brewing careers at Mill City Brewing Company in Lowell, Massachusetts. Together they honed their skills, brewing the full line of Mill City ales and lagers from 1995 to 2003. In 2003, Todd moved his family to Holland, Massachusetts and accepted the position of head brewer at Hyland's Orchard and Brewery. Hyland’s Brewery was founded in 1996 by the Damon family on the orchard and farm the family has owned since 1945. In 2004, the Damon family offered the brewery operation to Todd Sullivan, and he, along with fellow brewer Tim Daley, formed Pioneer Brewing Company. They continue to brew the Hyland's Sturbridge line of ales and lagers and have introduced several new brews under the Pioneer brand name. |
